The FRS Lite is a bespoke Formula Racing Simulator (FRS) cockpit designed specifically as a formula/open wheel, and prototype racing simulator with an available GT Sim pack to allow both formula and GT seating positions. The only thing that is "Lite" about our FRS Lite cockpit is its place in our growing lineup of formula and F1-style racing simulators.
The FRS Lite is inspired by our full-size FRS Pro cockpit and incorporates countless lessons learned for adjustability, assembly, and bodywork design. Available as both, Chassis (frame only) and Cockpit configurations, the FRS Lite redefines how alum-profile simulators can look like. You can also start with the Chassis configuration and upgrade later!

Why choose the FRS Lite?
You may be wondering why you should choose the FRS Lite in a crowded market filled with many options. We can make the decision easy for you:
-
Bespoke design: this is not just another collection of alum. extrusions. The FRS Lite features custom CNC machined and powder coated steel brackets for the frame rails, wheel, pedal, and seat allow a wide range of adjustment that let you dial in accurate seating position and ensure perfect alignment of the alum. profile extrusions during assembly.
- Unmatched Rigidity: heavy duty 3-slot 4.5" (114 mm) main frame alum profiles with increased reinforcement and non-hollow corners unlike alum extrusions used in most mass-produced alum extrusion simulators. Over 20% stiffer than most equivalent 3-slot (i.e. 120 mm/12040 profiles) available off the shelf.
- Customizable: Make the FRS Lite your very own, whether you choose the Chassis or Formula cockpit (coming soon!). You can customize the alum profiles and the steel brackets to make your rig look exactly how you want.
- Motion-ready: stiffer alum. profiles combined with three 0.25" (6.35) thick steel main profile brackets provide a rock-solid structure in bending and twisting that is engineered to transfer motion properly instead of being wasted as deflection under load.
- F1 & GT seating position: unlike many other premium formula simulators, this can be set up in upright GT seating position when equipped with the GT Sim Pack
- Front & bottom mount wheels: Choose from either a front mount or a bottom mount wheel plate with no cost difference.
-
Aesthetics: although functions always comes first, why not have both? If you want a blank slate to make your simulator your own, add branding or a race livery, forget flat-sided alum profiles. The FRS Lite optional bodywork is inspired by unmistakable formula/open wheel car design. The best part is this: you can upgrade later! Choose the FRS Lite Chassis and upgrade later if you want!
- Integrated Monitor Stand: available in single screen or triple screen configurations with easy angle and height adjustment on each monitor mount for alignment on triple screen setups.
- Custom liveries available: Provide your own existing team livery or we can create a new one for you.
- Made in Canada: completely designed and built in Canada, with all alum and steel brackets sourced and fabricated in North America
- Standard 2-year limited warranty
Tube simulators aren't your style? Want more space for branding and customization than either tube or flat-sided alum profile simulators? The FRS Lite is in a class of one.
With adjustable F1 seating position, wide compatibility, and motion readiness with unmatched rigidity and stiffness, the FRS Lite combines both form and function in a simulator like nothing else.

Unmatched Rigidity

The two main 'frame rails' are 3-slot 4.5" x 1.5" which are comparable to 12040 mm profiles in size. Where they differ, though, is the structure. Our cockpit design incorporates reinforced, heavy duty alum profile extrusions with a stronger profile cross-section design thanks to thicker webbing and non-hollow, solid corners. The result is our cockpit's main frame profiles being over 20% stiffer* in bending side-to-side (horizontally) and over 30% stiffer* in bending vertically compared to equivalent mass produced 120 mm (12040) 3-slot profiles.
When it comes to wheel posts, some manufacturers use thinner alum. profiles, but not us. The wheel mount upright posts use 2-slot 3" profiles that are comparable to 8040 profiles in size. However, reinforced, heavy duty alum profile extrusions are also used for the wheel posts, making them nearly as stiff as standard 3-slot 120 mm profiles.
The cockpit main rails are mounted via three 1/4" (6.35 mm) thick steel brackets bracing the four main frame rails and two pedal bracket rails. The brackets ensure all the profiles/rails are bolted completely straight and parallel, so you don't have to worry about misalignment in assembly.

If you make your cockpit flex even after full assembly and tightening, you can send it back. That's how confident we are.
Adjustability

The wheel bracket design solution is likewise optimized for adjustability and positioning.
- Height adjustment is decoupled from angle adjustment so you can more easily 'lock in' height of the wheel plate then loosen the angle adjustment bolts to dial in wheel placement, or vice versa.
- Loosen 8 bolts to slide the wheel plate assembly up and down without affecting angle
- Loosen 4 bolts to tilt the wheel plate

The elevated pedal bracket design provides very easy height, position, and angle pedal plate adjustment.
- Take out 4 easily accessible bolts to adjust height.
- Take out only 2 bolts and loosen 2 bolts to adjust angle.
- Only Loosen 4 bolts to slide pedals forwards and backwards.
It's that simple. The single piece pedal plate is not the best option if you want to bring cost down, but it allows a rigid design to be elevated as needed for the F1 seating position while also being compact enough to allow bodywork mounting brackets to bolt on without interfering with the pedals.
Like the pedal and wheel mounting brackets, the seat brackets are designed specifically for this cockpit and provide much wider height adjustment range than most other cockpits to allow properly positioning the seat. The seat brackets are bolted to recessed profiles which allow a lower seating position while also mounting "in-board" increasing lateral/torsional rigidity of the frame.
F1 & GT Seating Position
Our GT Sim Pack (currently available only with the Chassis configuration) allows you to raise the seat and wheel position higher so you could set up the cockpit in a position more suitable for GT, Touring, Oval, Supercars, and other race series requiring a more upright seating position.
The GT Sim Pack retains full Formula and prototype seating adjustability so you can set up the cockpit to your preference and change whenever you want based on what you are practicing for or tournaments you are running.
Motion Ready
A hybrid chassis design featuring five (5) large steel frame brackets and reinforced, heavy-duty alum profile extrusions and 'pedal box' result in unmatched rigidity in bending (both axis) and bending/twisting. The result is getting the most out of your motion system instead of wasting any energy/forces in deflection or twisting of the frame.
Both the FRS Lite configurations (i.e. Chassis and Cockpit) are compatible with a wide range of linear actuator motion systems capable of simulating 3 DOF or 4 DOF, 5 DOF, and 6 DOF when equipped with compatible motion platforms.
