The Qubic QS-CH2 platform is a revolutionary motion platform that offers an unmatched option of adding both Surge & Yaw, turning a 3 DOF system into a 5 DOF system. Powered by a twin set of fast acting QS-220 linear actuators, it can simulate up to 100 mm (4") of surge - front and rear motion) plus yaw/traction loss.

The platform is compatible with Qubic System QS-CH1 cockpit as well as Next Level Racing Elite cockpits (requires Pit Lane Sim Racing CH2 adaptor pack) or a wide range of alum. profile/extrusion cockpits on the market.

Precise Acceleration & Oversteer

The QS-CH2 provides the most precise acceleration and traction loss feedback by moving the entire cockpit. Thanks to true Surge (i.e. front to back motion), this gives real seat-of-the-pants acceleration feedback just like in a real vehicle or aircraft.

The motion system is based on the Qubic's fastest linear actuator’s technology, which delivers an incredible level of instant feedback. 

 

Applications

QS-CH2 platform has been designed to bridge the gap between common 3 DOF systems with 4 actuators and advanced 6 DOF systems like the QS-S25. With traction loss and surge simulation, it offers a total of 5 DOF.

With traction loss and surge, motion simulation is not only significantly more immersive, it also makes the simulator far more effective as a training tool to gain valuable seat time. By providing true acceleration and deceleration (braking) simulation in surge combined with traction loss, you can get real, physical feedback of exceeding the grip limit in both braking or acceleration.

Unlike the vast majority of motion simulators on the market using only pitch and roll or pitch, roll, and heave to simulate acceleration and braking by tilting to the front or the back, the CH2 moves the entire cockpit forwards and backwards in addition to the actuators providing pitch, roll, and heave. It is a true representation of what a vehicle does in acceleration as you feel acceleration plus vehicle weight transfer.

 

Clever Construction

A complete, packaged platform with no assembly required provides a plug and play motion solution where you simply attach the cockpit to the platform (requires Qubic System QS-CH1, or QS-220 actuators + adaptor pack if required). The platform utilizes QS-220 fast acting linear actuators to move or rotate the platform and cockpit with it.

Thanks to integration with the Qubic Platform Manager, the entire system motion simulation is seamless and fast acting and includes VR Motion Compensation as a whole.
